Who's running?

President Genevieve Kent
Vice president Jay Elbaor

Combined statement from Genevieve and Jay:

"As President and Vice President of AIFD for the '09-'10 year, it is our goal to create an atmosphere that is as lively and approachable as international folk dancing can be. We will strive to make it accessible to everyone, while working together with experienced dancers to achieve a balance that can be enjoyed by each person. It is our intention to make fundamental changes that will outlast our term, while staying true to the core of the dance group and to help it grow in ways that will let it thrive for years to come.

Our proposal is simple: to make every Saturday night a fun event that you can look forward to all week. Please do consider running for the board and being a part of that driving force."
Program Director Kristina Kinsel

Statement from Kristina:

"I am ready to help implement some great changes during the upcoming term."
Teaching Director Elise Rasmussen

Statement from Elise:

"I am looking forward to interacting more with the people in this group, along with attracting some new faces. I'm still learning everything, so I'll take all the help I can get. :)"
Secretary Jasmine Guha-Castle

Statement from Jasmine:

"I am looking forward to helping make every Saturday night a fun night for everyone and in the process interacting with more of you. I also hope to attract more people to this wonderful group."
Treasurer Bill Ogilvie

Statement from Bill:

"I'd like to continue as treasurer for another year for a couple of reasons. First, I like counting money and seeing the nice people at the bank when I deposit the take every week. Second, I'd like to complete the work required to ensure that AIFD's finances are clear and available online (you can find a link to the finances at http://www.aifd.cc/?page_id=9). Third, I'd like to ensure that the financial status can be used by the board for effective decision making .. with the primary goal of making sure we can continue to afford the great HRC facility."
